My only ign.key with chip won't start car.the chip is out .can you make new one using Vin. Num

Not on a model that old. Most dealers only keep key codes for 3 years.
A dealer or locksmith can find the right code for the chip using a scanner, but you would have to take the car to them.
A locksmith may be able to determine what the chip was in the old key, but I doubt it.

Have you checked the battery terminals? sounds like they are dirty/corroded causing no power to starter.

How do you replace ign lock cylinder on a 2003 jaguar x type if the key wont go in the cylinder

You may have to resort to the dealer or a locksmith authorized to work on Jags. Removal of the ignition cylinder requires the use of the key to enable you to rotate the cylinder for removal from the housing. This is a safety/ anti theft feature built into the design.

I cannot get the key to turn to acc been trying for 5 days now

Probably dropped a tumbler inside ign. cyl. Call a reputable locksmith to replace it or take it to the shop.

I tried turning the key & wheel at the same time to unlock the anti theft mechanism, do i need to turn it that hard? i dont wont to break it!

you may need a new ign lock cylinder, common problem. you will need to turn the key ON to get the cylinder out, or it will need to be drilled out. Call a locksmith, I'm sure he knows about them.

I lost the keys to my 96 windstar. I can't seem to get the ignition out. I pushed the pin on the bottom but no luck. The locksmith wants $150 to make a new key. Can I drill the pin out?

if you drill the pin out, the ign lock is ruined. A key must be in the lock to remove it. take a lock out of a door and have the locksmith cut a key for it. On some cars the passenger door lock will have the key code on it, but I dont know about your car.

Truck wont start

with an assistant near the key switch, get under truck and, using a rubber mallet or block of wood, turn the key and strike the starter nearest the large solenoid (identified by a usually round cylinder about 2 inches in diameter and with at least one large and one small wire attached). The solenoid "piston" needs lubrication, but this will get you started for now, assuming you have tested all electrical connections to starter/battery

Ignition switch replacement 1983 monte carlo

you have to take off the steering wheel.if you dont have the right tools to do so i would not attempt it.the turn signal switch has to be moved it just pulls over the end of the column.then there is a torx head screw at about 1 oclock in the column that has to be removed.and the ign.just pulls out.the dimmer switch is kinda tricky.a locksmith usually dont charge to much to do this job.it would probably cost you more to buy the tools you need to do it yourself

Key wont turn to lock position for the steering wheel?

Auto trans must be in park if it is then I believe a relay or switch has failed. Check owner manual for possible fuse.
