Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Epson TM-U220 Matrix Printer not printing in WinXPP

hi basiime

possible issue is port configuration. if the generic text driver works, apd driver should work too.

what may be happen is that when you install the apd driver the other printer drivers that you have were still using the same port that your apd driver were using. example, you have generic txt assigned to lpt1 and then the apd were assigned on the same port, this is were you get the trouble.

what you must do is, first, check any printer driver that you have using the lpt, say for example, you generic text is using lpt1, when you install the apd driver set it to lpt2. apd drivers will create a new port normally called esdprt. try to use that port but if that will not work reassigned the port of your apd driver to lpt2 printer port then uncheck bi-directional support. from there you should be able to print..

hope that resolves your issue.. =)

You can access your printer connected to USB port with loop back configuration and print from DOS.
Not only that, you can also print to a printer on the network

Try
Net use lpt1: \\Comp name\ printer name /persisten:yes

I am using dos based foxpro application in widows xp. when ever i take print from epson Fx 2175. the print job is paused at last line until i close the application. please rectify.clarify,...

Many DOS programs were designed to write directly to the printer's buffer, rather than to a spooler like more modern applications. It sounds like FoxPro is doing exactly that - and isn't designed to release the job until being completely closed.

share the printer then search for your own computer and you should be able to open it and see the shared printer like. \\server\printer

then use net use command...

net use lpt2: \\server\printer /Persistent:yes

then tell foxpro to print out lpt2 and it will act like dos
you can add net use command to autoexec.bat or windows startup if you will do this often

Dos command print in USB printer

Try this.
You can share the printer and then run a command like:
net use lpt1: \\servername\printername

I think you can go one step further even and add /persistent to the end to make it more permenant.

This will allow your program to send a print job to lpt1.

If you need further explanation of this let me know.
Good Luck

EPSON LQ 1150 Roman letter two last two Can not print in foxpro

best way to come out of this problem is to fire your printing using an batch file

ex.

set print to scrn.txt
set prin on
? 'hello'
? 'welcome to fast printing'
set prin off
set prin to
run fastprin

create fastprin.bat file

edit fastprin.bat
@echo off
type scrn.txt >PRN

then execute the above program
