Why does my radio fuse keep popping when I turn on my radio in my 1992 BMW 735i?

This indicates a possible failed component inside the radio's power supply section, causing a short. Any spark at the battery could have caused this. You'll have to get the radio repaired or replaced.

Why does my radio fuse keep popping in my 1992 bmw 735i?

Do you have the correct size fuse as listed in the manual or on the fuse cover? If so do you have an after market alarm system? Many times the after market installers will use a wire that they know is hot. often an always on radio memory wire? If you bought the car new and did not install an alarm or change out the radio out then you may need to bring it into a shop that traces wires. if you bought it used and you have the correct size fuse there is no telling. Caution do not in cress the size of the fuse beyond the recommended size or you could have a fire.

04 grand prix radio fuse keeps popping

Check the radio wiring for shorts. If it's an aftermarket stereo, I recommend running the ground wire directly to the dash frame, as there's a chance the ground in the harness doesn't match up to the vehicle harness correctly. Is there anything else on that fuse circuit? A lot of times the cigar lighter is on the same circuit as well, and that may be shorting out and popping the fuse.

Why does fuse # 25 keep blowing out on my Chrysler pacifica 2004

Fuses pop because it is breaking the direct line of voltage that is being selected...anotherwords...instead of when you turn on your radio and the incorrect amount of voltage that is being sent to the radio frys it, the fuse breaks/pops to stop the flow of voltage to the radio.

The problem seems to either be a bad relay or wires are touching somewhere in that system.

My 1999 Isuzu Roder keeps popping the fuses for the backlights and now it wont start

When the fuse for the back lights pops, does the radio stop working? If yes, then you will need to check for a short-to-ground in the area of the radio where your husband hooked up the memory wire- possibly the insulation of the wire has rubbed through and is touching metal somewhere, or perhaps the electric tape he used to cover the splice has fallen off. If the radio still works with the back light fuse blown, then it is highly unlikely that the radio has anything to do with the matter. In past experience, I have seen a Ford pickup with a similar problem, and it turned out that one of the taillight bulbs was shorted internally. Very unusual, but happened nonetheless. Good Luck!!

Stearing Wheel No buttons work cruse, radio, etc Fuse?

Need more data...if you are saying the cruise control and radio don't work, then its probably 2 separate issues. Cruise control shares fuses with the instrument panel, if your gauges work then its not the fuse...if its a 5 speed could be a switch not working that operates when the clutch is pushed in (if you push the clutch, the cruise will disengage to keep engine from revving). Radio shares fuses with headlite lift motors...if your headlights pop up then its not the fuse, maybe just a bad radio...blueamber...I've owned 6 of the capris

When I plug in power cable it pops fuse

This radio has been hooked up backwards you have to change the resistor in the radio if you keep changing the fuses and turning it on it will do more damage to the radio there is no easy fix you have to change out the part.
