Try switching it off at the mains for a few minutes.

If that doesn't fix it, I suspect that the disk is faulty or corrupted.

remove the back cover of your tv shut off your light then observe if there is sprkling in the inverter section, that's the cause of popping sound,,

I'm afraid I don't have the solution but a very similar problem, although I just get the speaker crackle, rather than any problems with the picture/the TV turning off.

Did you manage to resolve it?

It sounds like you may have faulty tact switches on the front control panel that are acting intermittently. If one of the switches is defective it can cause all kinds of erratic behaviour.

TV works fine for a while, then the picture disappears.


I would just replace the TV, the parts are not going to be made to repair this. The set is just to old.

I own a goodmans gtv26wlcd and have recently had the problem with the screen going blank, the sound remains but the screen switches off this happens just a few minutes after switching the TV on.


Is this a set sold in the USA? I have never heard of this brand. It sounds as if the back light is shutting off maybe the powe invertors feeding it are breaking down. Or your signal board is going on you. I hope you have aschematic and access to Goodmans parts?

Hii.... first I like to know the chassis of yor KV27FS100..
sound like problem with regulated parts block.....and can more helpfull if you count the blinking of the LED....sony have selft diagnostic at the LED Blinking.....

Goodmans LD3755HD Picture Problems


for cms voodoo, change your power module.
for tomchik, check your input voltage for voltage drop or fluctuation, if any employ voltage stabilizer, then change your power module. make sure that there is enough ventilation around your tv.
for bananahead , go and change your backlight inverter

Tv has sound but no image


When you say no image this could mean anything from, snow picture, blank screen, blue screen. Also, dry joints on the PCB can cause such a problem. More especially on the picture tube board.
