Hello
Its bulb has got traoubled or its control circuit has some faut with it. it is not a user serviceable item. Replacing bulb can be done by the user according to the instructions in its user manual. But trouble shooting its control section must be done be any experienced service technician. OK.

SOURCE: I have a mitsubishi wd 65738 and peoples faces appear smudged on the cheeks. Almost like a 5 o clock shadow. I have seen this before on other DLP tvs as well. Is this a light engine or main board?

I have in the shop also seen this issue on a few Mitsubishi sets, you may want to search for the service manual but I worked for a authorized service center for this brand and they had all kinds of issues--one was when the Optical engine was replaced there was a procedure done with the remote to mate it to the main chassis (set had reddish smearing--not extreme but noticeable. the procedure cured that.

These sets had so many digital issues with dozens of surface mounted caps on several boards failing that a few years ago they offered an entire signal chassis on an exchange basis.

The engine as you may (from the tone of your question) be aware is in constant communication with the main signal chassis---not very helpful I admit but it could be either----if that chassis is still available it wholesaled for about 250 and the engine might be more than 500---they are nice guys as the engine does not come with some mounting brackets etc that have to be removed from old one.

Good luck and see if you can find (I have seen some on the internet) a free download of that which may or may not help.

I have wd 65738 Mitsubishi tv that has a problem can you help ME?

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Mitsubihi WD-65738 no power, no lights. Is there a fuse I can check? Maybe by the plug?

Follow the power cord inside to the power board--line fuse will be there--have fun and patience as a lot of screws to remove to get there---as seen from rear power board should be to far left side.
