Go to the root (Which has the windows partition)
Go to Tools menu->Folder Options-> View
Select the options to see the hidden files and folders and untick the "Hide protected operating system file (Recommended)" also(Make sure to reset the options when the work is done). The go to here
Root:\Documents and Settings\<Your User Name>\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files and delete all the cookies. When you delete cookie make sure you remove the temp files also from the browser(this is fir IE). And make sure that you don't have any page loaded. If you save any other settings like passwords, it may not remove those until u reset those settings.
Thanks

Then delete cookies Here is a very simple guide on how to delete cookies manually from your computer.

Click on "tools" in your browser. This is usually located in the upper right corner of your browser. Click on Internet options. This will appear in the drop down box and is usually at the bottom. Under the "General" tab look for "Browsing History." Under this heading you can click "Delete" to have the computer delete all cookies for you automatically however to delete the cookies manually click on the "Settings" tab Click on the "View Files" tab under the "Temporary Internet Files and History Settings" box that pops up. When you do a second box will pop up with a list of cookie containing files. This may take a few seconds to load so be patient while waiting for the cookie files to load. Highlight any cookie file that you would like to delete. You can highlight more than one at a time by holding down the 'Ctrl" button on your keypad Delete the files that are highlighted by clicking on the "delete this item" located to the left in the same box. As soon as you do you will see the selected files disappear. When you are done just "X" off; this completes your task of manually deleting cookies. You might also do a disk clean up click start click on computer to open right click on your hard drive usually C: select properties in the general tab select disk clean up click ok you can view files to be deleted. b>

My wife and I share the same computer. When I go to facebook.com she is automatically logged in without having an option of who to log in.

Logout from her account.
Close Internet Explorer.

Click Start
Click Run
Type CMD
Press ENTER
Type CD COOKIES
Press ENTER
Type DIR *facebook*
Press ENTER, to show the "cookies" that FaceBook has planted on your computer.
Type ERASE *facebook*
Press ENTER, to delete those "cookies".

Thus, the next time you access FaceBook's web-site, those "cookies" (and her ID and password) won't be available.

Hopefully, your wife remembers her FaceBook ID and her password -- to avoid a messy divorce, ask her, before deleting those "cookies".

I have a mac book(apple laptop) i know how to go to safari and system preference but when i click security it say nothing about deleting cookies please help...

Are you running Safari Version 3.2.1 (4525.27.1)?? You should be, and if not, upgrade by calling for Software Upgrade under the apple icon.

Under System preferences, if you are running Version 3.2.1 (4525.27.1) please do everything you did and then click on "Show Cookies" which you will see 3/4 down the Security Tab page and a box will open up showing all cookies currently deposited on your system and where you can either choose a single cookie to delete and then click the "remove" button or "remove all" button and remove them all. Press the "Done" button when you are finished.
