Most of the laptops those are the common issues Wireless are not working, what i suggest is try to renistall the Driver for the wireless card then check it in the Device Manager, if it doesn't show in Device Manager the wireless card could be faulty.
How to check Device manager.
Start->Control Panel->Device Manager
Inside Device Manager look for Network Adapter and check if your wireless card is detected.
Hi there. The wireless switch on the front bottom of the laptop, it's suppose to be blue when the button is on the right. Right click on computer and select manage, go to device manager, and go to Network Adapters, try to see a network adapter
called Broadcom, if it doesn't appear, it means that your computer
doesn't recognize the wireless card and you may have to reinstall the drivers. Please let me know how you get on.
Go to the HP website and get the latest version of the driver for the wireless adapter. Then got to Start---->Control Panel--->Add/Remove programs and unistall the current driver. Then got to the System folder in the Control Panel. Go to the device manager tab and go down the list until you find network adapters. Left click the x beside the name and left click on the wireless and it should turn blue. Right click and choose uninstall. Then reboot the computer. If the device is still working the computer should find the "new hardware" as windows loads. Then when it asks for the device use the new driver to install it.
have you made any software/hardware changes off late?do look in the device manager..right click on the my computer icon on the desktop..go to properties..on the top left under taks u will see device manager and look for network adapters..anything with and yellow exclamation means its missing/corrupt..hope it helps..
