Open door in the dark room.
See if it's already rewinded, but could be a stuck counter

SOURCE: The battery in my Minolta Maxxum 7000 died while

Sorry to hear you're having troubles with your Minolta. First thing I would do is make sure that the batteries you put in our good and that you do have power coming out of that battery box. He didn't mention whether the batteries had corroded or if there had been any corrosion previously. The rewind button on this camera will not reset until the camera again advances. In other words it is an automatic release on the camera fires the first time after a rewind. So as an beginning answer to your question I would check the batteries again make sure that all contacts are absolutely clean and as you may have noticed the battery boxes on the Minolta do pivot. The contacts under the pivot points also have to be clean. If you checked all of these issues and you're still having problems please feel free to e-mail me at, Dave@advancedcamera.com.
Thank you good luck

Minolta 5000 Maxxum Auto/Manual, Did it rewind? How do I tell, I am an advanced photog, but this is new. Says 24 with 2 arrows right pointing. Should I darkroom it??? TY

Darkroom is always safest in these situations. Sounds like you don't have a manual - if you google the make and model, followed by the word Manual, you may be able to find one.

I am afraid you are not going to like this answer much, but I think your camera may be beyond DIY repair. Check in your area for a good camera repair shop and see if they will look at it, they may look for free, and charge for more in depth examinations.
I hope this helps.

How do you rewind film in nikon n8008s

At the end of the roll, press the film-rewind/multiple-exposure button (marked with a roll of film and "ME", at the three-o'clock position on the round pad on the left of the camera. In mid-roll, press that button and the film-rewind button just to the right of the prism simultaneously.

See the illustrations on page 19 of this manual.

Is there a manual rewind on nikon n65?

If by manual you mean turning a crank to rewind the film, no. If you mean to do it at a point other than the end of the roll, yes.

To rewind film mid-roll, press the two film rewind buttons simultaneously for approximately one second. The film will then rewind and the frame counter will count backward. The film is completely rewound when the E appears in place of the frame number.

The two film rewind buttons are marked with a red film canister symbol with left-pointing arrows. One is the exposure compensation button next to the control panel, the other is the self-timer button next to the mode dial.

I have a 36 exposure film in the camera with 25 pictures taken and I want to remove the film without taking more photos. How do I rewind?

To rewind the film mid-roll, press the two film rewind buttons simultaneously for one second. The two buttons are marked with a red film symbol, and double as the Auto Exposure Bracketing button to the left of the viewfinder and the Aperture/Exposure Compensation button to the right of the control panel.

The film is completely rewound when a blinking "E" shows in the control panel.

This is kind of embarassing... i received an old nikon f65, and i don't know how to remove the film properly without burning it...

The film should rewind automatically at the end of the roll. If it doesn't, press the two film-rewind buttons simultaneously for about one second. The film rewind buttons are maked with a red film icon; one is also the exposure compensation button to the right of the LCD control panel, the other is the auto exposure bracketing button to the left of the viewfinder.

Once the film is rewound, turn the power off. Slide the release lever on the left end of the body, and the back should pop open a little.

You may be out of film. If you used too much leader to load the film, the counter would not know to keep up so you would be off a bit. On the rewind side, check to see if there is any slack in the film, If you can turn the rewind 2 or 3 turns then it is not loading error but mechanical problems.
