sounds as though the defrost system has failed or the freezer defrost drain is blocked. take off the back panel of the freezer and see if excess ice build up. if so, defrost carefully with a hairdryer. at bottom is a drain. check if blocked with ice and if so melt off with hot water till water flows away freely. if i'm right, appliance will start to work. if fault re-occure then defrost system is at fault

SOURCE: i left the freezer door open
You have too much frost in the unit evaporator unit and the evaporator fan is hitting the frost.. Press and hold the ice on/off key for 10 seconds to induce a manual defrost.

SOURCE: Door difficult to open
Simple fix! A small puddle of water near the fridge led me (indirectly) to this fix. Our model is a fridge only, no ice or water dispenser and nothing spilled inside. Upon closer inspection I found a narrow tray along the back wall above the crisper drawers with a drain hose leading under the unit. Apparently it's a condensate drain, a plugged one at that! I cleaned it out, yuk, and soon discovered it serves a dual purpose... as a vent to help relieve the pressure from the vacuum created immediately after closing the door. It has renewed our love affair with this fridge. Hoo Hoo!

1. is light on in side when you open the door. If not check breakers or fuses.
2. Can you hear the compressor running. If not do you hear any clicking sounds.
3. If you hear clicking sounds, try putting a fan on compressor and unplug refrigerator.
4. Wait one hour.
5. plug back in. If compressor starts let it run and see if it cools, if it doesnt, call service man.
6. If it goes back to clicking, call a service man.
let me know if this works.
