Question about Kenmore 64802 Top Freezer Refrigerator
Several things may contribute to this issue. The defrost timer may be malfunctioning which could cause the freezer to be cold because of ice in it but ice is blocking air flow to the refrigerator section so it gets warm. If the unit is actually trying to defrost as it should then the trough that the water follows leaving the coil may be blocked with fuzz or a wrapper that got in a bad place or just dirt. It may have a small heater in the tube that takes water away that is bad or the tube under the fridg that collects the water for evaporation may be kinked or plugged. The defrost timer is probably under the fridg or in the back under a panel. the thermostat should be near or attached to the adjustment knob.
