Yes! Yes! The exact same thing is happening to my nuvi 1300 right now one month after yours. What did you figure out? Can someone help? I've also tried to do the clear the device by pushing the right hand corner of the screen while powering on and I do not get any sort of 'would you like to clear everything?' message that I'm suppose to get. I'm going to check into battery recall that I heard about, but I don't think it's for the Nuvi 1300.
YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK THE TEMPERATURE OF THE CPU BUY RANDOMLY REBOOTING AND ENTERING SETUP TO CHECK CPU TEMP IF THE FAN OR CHANNEL ARE NOT ALLOWING AIR FLOW THEN YOU COULD BE SUFFERING FROM A OVERHEAT AND THE SYSTEM LOCKS, HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH WIFE'S LAPTOP. YOU MAY BE ABLE TO GET MONITORING SOFTWARE FROM THE MAIN COMPANY OF ANY LAPTOP.
At least the following works on my first generation Flip Ultra camcorder (not Mino). Remove battery, put it back next morning. After that be careful not to touch "on" slider switch on the side of the camcorder while Flip logo is still on the screen. I mean turn the device on by using the slider switch and do not touch that switch again until Flip logo on the screen is gone. Doing the opposite (trying to use the "on" switch again while device is still "booting" and Flip logo is on the screen) will lead to the Flip Ultra freeze.
even if u hav a tried a full format and the hard drive freezes then it is a bad sign..run a diagnostic of hdd by pressing F12 at restart.one good thing i want to tell u is tat even if the diagnostic test on the hdd passes,,then also u call up dell tech support and get ur hadd replaced,,because sooner or later u might face a problem with ur hadd again..keep me posted
sounds like a faulty USB driver - i recommend uninstalling all USB drivers and using drivermax.com to get the correct ones. Your computer may have automatically updated your drivers incorrectly without you knowing.
Plug it into the usb device of your computer. IF you already downloaded the firmware. You need to go to where its downloaded. And install it from there. It will show you your firmware and ask if you want to format your player click yes. After that is done it will work like new.
This is VERY common in the NWA1200. Don't even bother with Sony, I've tryed its a dead end, but you can still get it fixed. I'm pretty sure FixYa don't allow advertising so please get in contact if you want it fixed: email@example.com
The most probable cause that I see happening to people with the same item is the fact that somewhere between uses, the setup files in the device itself gets corrupted. When this happens, you're pretty much screwed. You can't access them because it won't let you, you can't format it because it won't let you, you're left with a dead mp3 player. Sorry, but you need to get a new one. The other one is trash.
