I have a Roper RED4640YQ1 dryer and it will not advance to the cool down cycle on any setting. The dryer completely shuts off as if the cycle was over. I've replaced the thermal fuse, nothing changed.

Not familiar with the Roper unit but most dryers have TWO thermal sensors.
One to keep check of the Drum temperature and one in the coil chambers to regulate the coil temperature

Where is the a/c cutout relay located (wot cutout) on 87-88 thunderbird? can't find!?!

A/C compressors run a lot when they are low on fluid. And they should never shut off, but should cycle on and off regularly.

N'finity 170 bottleis dual bottle zone wine refrigerator. Unit will begin cycle when turn off and on. Gets down to set temp and will cycle correctly maybe 2 times and then temp will slowly rise. Unit will...

Hi, there are some little thermal switches, and or 2 fans that may not be working properly. In both cases they are not cooling the unit down enough for it to maintain the set temperature. This unit is pretty much low grade, high cost, JUNK. Your minor repair might cost in the $400.00 to $500.00 range, but shortly after the evaporator (part of the cooling system) will fail. That part is not available. It took me $350.00 repair call to find this out. Good luck, and enjoy it will you can. By the WineEnthusiast only offer to help will maybe be a $150.00 price break on a new and improved model

Haier Mini spilt HSU18VC7 compressor runs for 5 minutes then stop 3 minutes then run another 5 minutes and so on.

This is called short cycling. It sounds like the compressor is getting hot and opening a bi-metal overload, which shuts the compressor off. The compressor cools, because it is not running and the bi-metal contacts close allowing the compressor to start again. This will repeat itself and is usually due to low refrigerant, which usually means there is a leak in the normally sealed refrigerant lines. The refrigerant cools the compressor windings and if it is low it cannot do that, hence the shutting off of teh compressor, cooling down process and restarting of your compressor. Short cycling will ultimately ruin the compressor.

If this has helped you please give me a rating worthy of my diagnosis.

UNIT KEEPS FREEZING UP. WE HAVE THAWED IT OUT MANY TIMES AND SAME THING HAPPENS. IS THERE A RESET BUTTON?

have you checked the filter ? do you have the temp set to low? are you trying to cool to big an area? shut it down again and let it thaw out. set the stat to mid range and trun it back on. close all unused rooms. when the unit cycles of and its still not cool enough turn the tstat down unilt it comes back on and leave it there.. unil the rom temp reaches 72-74 degree. thats the best set point .. you might be about to get it down to 70. but my bet is 1 dirty filter. and set temp to low.

Cooling problem

the resons for the problem you are facing are

1.Substantial loss of sealedsystem charge (low wattage readings). 2. Restricted capillary or drier on high side (low wattage readings while running). Will cycle on overload when unit tries to start after defrost cycle, or after having been shut-off and restriction is still present. 3.Defective compressor

checking the above three possibilities alone will fix your system
