Question about Seville Classics MSC10166 Tower Fan
The other motor which rotates the fan, is working. The shaft moves freely, not clogged, when rotated using hand.
Some of these have a expansion pin that holds the fan blade assembly onto the shaft, this may have fallen out or ? broke,,,

SOURCE: fan vibrates
Vibrations are a cause of friction. I can only assume that the motor or the fan veins are being interferred with. If you feel comfortable you can take the case off and look or take it to a repairshop and have them look it over.

Try to free up top fan bearing, it is under switch cover. Pry cover with small screw driver, insert screw driver blade in access hole and pry, top fan bearing is held by two screws, remove, clean and lubricate with oil or grease. It works!
