Hi Jesse,

I didn't have a model / serial number to try, but I suspect the date you're looking for is coded in one or both of those numbers. Have a look here & plug the requested info in to see if it returns the info you're after. Good luck!

When was Kenmore Model 1068628480 manufactured ?

Check the mfg. sticker inside the unit. Since appliances change often, the model number may not identify the year and size.

AEG LAVATHERM 303

The date of manufacture is often identified by the serial number of your unit. Each manufacturer uses their own "code" to identify the month and year. You can often find websites that will tell you how to decipher your specific serial number.

What compatible graphic card for 2 ghz mac pro

The CPU speed alone is not enough to identify your Mac Pro model. You would also need to know when it was manufactured (for example, those made in mid-2010 can use cards that won't work in early 2010 or older models). This information is easily obtained from System Profiler (in the Apple menu, select "About This Mac," then click on "More Info...").

Once you know the specific model or date of manufacture, you can look through Apple Support articles for graphics compatibility information. Apple Support Search Try searching within these results for your model number or the year to cut down on the number of titles.

How do I determine the year my GE model TFX24R was made?

Print How to Determine the Age or Manufacture Date of a GE Appliance

The manufacturing date and year is coded into the serial number of the appliance. Our serial numbers begin with two letters. The first letter identifies the month and the second letter identifies the year. The corresponding letters, months, and years are below. For example, if the serial number begins with the letters "FJ," the appliance was made in March of 1952.

Letter Month (first letter) Years (second letter) A January 2001, 1989, 1977, 1944 B -- 1945 C -- 1946 D February 2002, 1990, 1978, 1947 E -- 1969, 1948 F March 2003, 1991, 1979, 1949 G April 2004, 1992, 1980, 1950 H May 2005, 1993, 1981, 1951 J -- 1952 K -- 1953 L June 2006, 1994, 1982, 1970, 1954 M July 2007, 1995, 1983, 1971, 1955 N -- 1972, 1956 P -- 1973, 1957 R August 2008, 1996, 1984, 1958 S September 2009, 1997, 1985, 1959 T October 2010, 1998, 1986, 1974, 1960 V November 1999, 1987, 1975 Z December 2000, 1988, 1976 AY -- 1965 BZ -- 1966 CA -- 1967 DB -- 1968 VU -- 1961 WV -- 1962 XW -- 1963 YX -- 1964

What year is this Kenmore dishwasher Model # 665.15831791 made?

The date of manufacture is determined by the SERIAL NUMBER on the appliance. This dishwasher was manufactured by Whirlpool. The following link explains how to determine when it was manufactured:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3576437-determining_the_age_of_your_whirlpool_ap

The serial number is usually located somewhere around the door opening. The first two numbers in the serial number identify the WEEK it was manufactured (52 weeks in a year). The second DIGIT in the serial represents the YEAR it was manufactured.

If you have difficulty determining the manufacture date, please post back with your serial number and I will assist you. I hope you find this information helpful.

How to read a VIN
1st character- Identifies the country in which the vehicle was manufactured.
For example: U.S.A.(1or 4), Canada(2), Mexico(3), Japan(J), Korea(K), England(S), Germany(W), Italy(Z)
2nd character- Identifies the manufacturer. For example; Audi(A),
BMW(B), Buick(4), Cadillac(6), Chevrolet(1), Chrysler(C), Dodge(B),
Ford(F), GM Canada(7), General Motors(G), Honda(H), Jaquar(A), Lincoln(L), Mercedes Benz(D), Mercury(M), Nissan(N), Oldsmobile(3), Pontiac(2or5), Plymouth(P), Saturn(8), Toyota(T), VW(V), Volvo(V).
3rd character- Identifies vehicle type or manufacturing division.
4th to 8th characters- VDS - Vehicle Descriptor Section. These 5 characters occupy positions 4 through 8 of the VIN and may be used by the manufacturer to identify attributes of the vehicle. Identifies vehicle features such as body style, engine type, model, series, etc.
9th Character - The check digit "character or digit 9" in the sequence of a vehicle identification number (VIN) built beginning with model year 1981 (when the 17 character digit format was established) can best be described as identifying the VIN accuracy.
A check digit shall be part of each vin (since 1981) and shall appear in position
nine (9) of the VIN on the vehicle and on any transfer documents containing
the vin prepared by the manufacturer to be given to the first owner for purposes
other than resale. Thus, the VINs of any two vehicles manufactured within a 30
year period shall not be identical. The check digit means a single number or letter
"x" used to verify the accuracy of the transcription of the vehicle identification
number.
After all other characters in the VIN have been determined by the manufacturer
the check digit is calculated by carrying out a mathematical computation
specified. This is based on vin position, sample vin, assigned value code,
weight factor and multiply assigned value times weight factors. The values are added and the total is divided by 11. The remainder is the check digit number.
The correct numeric remainder - zero through nine (0-9) will appear.
However, if the remainder is 10 the letter "X" is used to designate the check
digit value/number.
10th character- Identifies the model year. For example: 1988(J), 1989(K), 1990(L), 1991(M), 1992(N), 1993(P), 1994(R), 1995(S), 1996(T),
1997(V), 1998(W), 1999(X), 2000(Y)------2001(1), 2002(2), 2003(3)
11th character- Identifies the assembly plant for the vehicle.
12th to 17th characters- VIS - Vehicle Identifier Section. The last 8 characters of the VIN are used for the identification a of specific vehicle. The last four characters shall always be numeric. Identifies the sequence of the vehicle for production as it rolled off the manufacturers assembly line.

Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) are used to uniquely identify motor vehicles. Prior to 1980 there was not an accepted standard for these numbers, so different manufacturers used different formats. Modern day VINs consist of 17 characters that do not include the letters I, O or Q.

Wondering what year out dryer is from. The model is 76992100. The model series is 69921-79921 The serial no. is F83005027 The dryer is old, but how old? Thanks, Mary Lou Devaney, 174 Cambon Ave., St....

The model number you provided has a prefix of "110" accompanying the number. That indicates the manufacturer of this Kenmore dryer is Whirlpool. The manufacture date is determined by the SERIAL NUMBER. The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r2880489-determining_age_whirlpool_appliance

The first two numbers in the serial number identify the WEEK it was manufactured. The second digit identifies, the YEAR. According to the information I provided, that would mean your dryer was manufactured in July of 1988. So your dryer is 21 years young.

If you have questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: These were well built appliances. The same design is used in Whirlpool appliances to this day.

Boken shaft of old Craftsman skill saw

I have repaired many craftsman circular saws over the years and find that they share some parts with other brands. When sears drops a model number you must try to discover who made it for them. You did not list a model number, however when I need to identify a saw w/o the number I look at old part breakdowns and look on ebay for similar looking saws. Try and identify which manufacture made it for sears. Many were made by skill over the years so I start there. Once I find a good match, I check for available new parts. If not available, I check pawn shops and small tool repair shops for used parts, even burned out armature then have it rewound at www.eurton.com If you value your old saw take the extra time to look around, if not buy a good used saw at a pawn shop. I prefer Makita or Milwaukee good used about 40-70$; good used craftsman 20-30$, take a good look at the armature commutator and check that the arbor bearing is tight. Good Luck and email if you have questions.
