make sure you check and make certain there are no scratches clean both the top of the scanner and the scanner bed itself and wipe down with a lint free cloth

To use a printer DIRECTLY into your PC or laptop (without plugging both into a network hib, or switch), you need to use a CROSSOVER patch cable.
