If you are handy with a soldering gun and multimeter you can take the back off and find the blown parts of the power amd and replace them. If you cannot do this, take it to a repair shop.

My power cord for the docking station is beginning to unravel with wires showing. Can it be replaced or repaired?

First, I know nothing at all about ipods. However, I am a decent electronics guy. Obviously, one end of the power cord plugs into a wall outlet; the other connects to the station. How? Does the cord simply disappear inside the station, or is there some kind of connecting plug? Which end is frayed? If it's at the wall plug end, you could simply cut the wire (unplug it first !!!) above the fray and wire in a new standard wall plug. You can do the same on the station end if the wire runs directly into the unit AND if you can get in there to reconnect the wire. If, on the other hand, the wire is attached to the station via some sort of power plug (like a printer for example), you'd better leave that puppy alone and invest in a new docking station or new power cord. You'd also better stop using the unit unless you can fix it. Bare wires spell tripped breakers and danger of injury.

Check your power supply cables Your power supply cables may not be fully secured. Let's unplug and reconnect your power supply
  1. Disconnect the power cord from the back of your console. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and the power supply unit.
Reconnect the power cord to the console. Then plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and the power supply unit
  2. Make sure that all three connections are firmly secured.
  3. Turn your console back on.

Check the light on the power supply. If this solution worked, your power supply light will be green

I have a kscs25inss kitchenaid refrigerator. I opened the door and there was no power, the unit was not running (no compressor, no lights, no water). The circuit breaker did not trip, but I reset it...

Hi, Most likely the outlet has a loose wire or the cord for the refridgerator has a loose wire. Check the outlet on the wall see if it moves at all or has any loose wires in the back...if that looks ok replace the cord to the refridgerator. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to comment again. Good Luck! Mike

Hi,

I have a questions for you, is the unit connected to a surge protector, or to a wall outlet.

If its connected to a wall outlet then the power supply will not be directly to the unit, as these units come with a built in surge protector in them.

You can try connecting the unit to a wall outlet, and if no go then try this step.

Disconnected the power cord from the unit as well as from the wall outlet.

Press and hold the ON button on the unit for 30 sec and then plug in the power cable to the wall outlet and then to the unit.

Remember to connect the cable to the wall outlet first and then connect it to the back of the unit.

This should probably fix the problem,
Please let me know if there is any other issues.
