Use the commands
FIXBOOT and
FIXMBR in the
"Repair mode" of Windows XP installation or XP Recovery Console
for vista Recovery Environment or if you have recovery disk/disc you can use it

==============================

That error indicates a partition problem, you need to full format your harddisk and removing all partion and do a fresh install. Regarding your Win XP CD, just configure the BIOS to first BOOT to your CDROM

Hope this work for you ^_^

NTLDR Missing in Tecra S1

there are many reason, first is,that you're trying to boot from a nonbootable device, but i think it's not this but your system file is corupted,it's more reasonable that you say you was formatting the hard drive,so what drive did you format? C:?
i suggest you to reinstall the operating system, actually you can exchange the missing NTLDR file, but it's dificult, and has many risks, and there will be many bugs after you do i

I keep getting a message saying ntldr is missing cant start comp

ntldr is a system file that are using to load your windows. One solution is to use other third party software, my friend used before a SPOTMAO to repair the ntldr and systerm 32 error. Or try to copy a NTLDR file from other computer which is running the same your windows, Just make your drive slave to a computer, then locate the NTLDR from the C:\ then copy it to your drive. Hope it helps thanks.

Hi,it is possible that your hard drive has crashed thats why you r getting that message or its just the Operating system, and in the event of the former i'll advise you replace your Hard drive. But in the case of just the operating system being corrupt try repairing it,if it does not work,back-up your files using and external SATA converter and format.

Boots up crashes 3-4 times starts working then crashes after several minutes. Have replaced cpu & processor

If the CPU is working then I would put this down to either a corrupt windows installation or faulty RAM. It could also be a fault due to heat, but if you have that in check then I think it's the Windows install or RAM.
To test the Windows install, power on your PC with all hard drives disconnected, power included and if it is stable on the screen that says NTLDR is missing or insert system disk then this confirms the windows installation is corrupted.

No absolutely not. This is happen when you delete your some system files on C: drive. It doesn't crash at once, But when you reboot. So don't ever delete your sys files. Now you can do is repair windows using the XP sp3 CD. Or replacing sys files using another OS.
Think this is helpful !

Dropped my wd portable hard disk now computer is not reading it

brother
your hard drive has either a crashed head,ir amisalligned head due to dropping it several times. also head stuck to platter is the result of dropping it.and may be the motor of the hard drive has lost its central axis and has got jammed.
if your drive is still spinning i am sure it has head crash problem only.
please try to either get it replaced if its under warrenty.
if you wish to recover data , please pm me.

My comp crashed recently, i've changed the hard drive and now can't load an OS onto it. we've tried 3 different versions of xp and vista and four different discs, any suggestions?

A memory dump or the blue screen on start-up with the memory address as you mentioned is telling you that there is a problem with hardware - it could be you new hard drive - try making 2 partitions on it and remember to do a full format and not a quick format, I would also be looking at your ram and making sure it is ok. I have come across many times where a computer has been working ok with the old ram but after formatting and reinstalling it would crash at about 36%.

Error message NTLDR missing on formatted hard drive

You need to either reinstall windows, or take the hard drive out, hook it up as a spare drive to a working computer and copy NTDLR to the root of the laptop hard drive. It would be much easier to reinstall windows. You can always use the recovery portion of Windows, but if I were you I would just do a format and reinstall. NTDLR is just a startup file for Windows XP, that does not mean your hard drive is gone or anything. Please don't forget to rate!..Thanks

Won't boot-up

dear, your operating system has been crashed.
this problem is occured when windows install another drive (beside C)and user accidently formate the hard drive in which you install.
or another method ...........
sometimes boot order has been changed and problem occured.
once you check the boot order from motherboard setting.
you set the BOOT order as:
first boot from hard disk
second boot from floppy
third boot from cd rom.
i think you solve this problem easily.
