Question about Kitchen Ranges
I pressed the wrong button on my Sears Kenmore gas range. The oven started to self clean. I was able to unlock the door by holding the clear button for a few seconds however, the cleaning sound is still going. So I unplugged it. The weather is going to be in the 90's this week so I really don't want to go through the entire cleaning process just so that it will stop on its own when completed. Any advice?

Both the oven" ON " light and " Clean " light will flash when the clean has finished . When the " clean " light flashes , slide the latch handle to the left as far as it will go , then turn the " OVEN SET " knob to " OFF " to open the door.

I suspect the timer is involved in this process. It can be set to clean automatically. You need to set the complete time at least 2 hours after start.
