Casio Te-4000F Error E050

I got a used TE-4000F. Re-initialized and reprogrammed the device and everything worked fine so far. Now I tried to use the check tracking system but I cannot create a check. I immediately get an error E050 meaning check tracking detail memory is full. But there is no check existing. What could be the problem? Is there a dedicated RAM for this purpose which is maybe broken?

You should first check that you entered the correct digit for check tracking and not scanning file when you typed in the init code. Check your init code by performing a flag clear. If that is ok, Print out the memory allocation (program 5) and make sure you have allocated memory for check tracking.

Testimonial: "You saved my day! Memory wasn't allocated means in fact I initialized with initialization pattern "For scanning" instead of "For check tracking". Resulting in need to reprogram the whole register, but anyway it works now. Many thanks!!!!"

Yep. Done it myself. You have to give yourself a kick, hehe. The machine uses a large piece of memory for those two jobs so it can't do both. It is what you'd call hospitality or retail setting

SOURCE: error code 105 for casio te-2200

Hi.
We can check the memory allocation.

Turn key to program mode.
5 SUBTOTAL SUBTOTAL (must press subtotal twice).

This will print memory allocation.
Look down the printout and tell me what figures are listed under file numbers 16 and 40.

Ok. See if you can get rid of the buffer full error for a start. try pressing clear (C) then press Subtotal. You should see an amount on the display. Now press the ERR CORR/ CANCEL button. This should stop the sale that you are stuck in.
Turn the key to Program mode. If it gives error as you turn the key, then you haven't finshed in REG, turn back to REG and try to end the sale first.
If you see P01 on the display, it has worked and then do this:
1 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL 3 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL.
Now turn back to REG and try it.
If it still didn't work, let me know what happened, and I'll show you another method

Cassio TE-4500F

You have put too many items into a guest check (tab). Finalise (pay off) the check to free up the memory.

Are you new balancing before you try to log the second clerk on? Make sure you don't have the check tracking selected. You can use interrupt or tables, but not both.

We have bought a cafe and the second hand Casio TE 4000f electronic cash register but it appears to have frozen so we cant enter any date. The display says PGMX and the amount 0.00 is displayed. Even...

PGMX means the machine is trying to print a current program report. It may have been interrupted. Try this procedure to jump it back out:
Turn key to PROGRAM mode. Turn power off at wall. Hold RECEIPT FEED down - keep your finger on it. Turn power on at wall. Wait 5 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED. You should see "FFFFFFFFFF" on display. Press SUBTOTAL. Turn key back to REG mode (you may need to sign on if asked)

Hi I have a Casio TE-4500F, everything works but the cash crawer does not open. I have been led to believe this may be a fuse on the main board. Is this a job I can do myself or does it need an engineer? ...

The only time it will blow the fuse is if someone has shorted out the cash drawer wiring. Check the wiring to the drawer first, and insulate any bare wires. Then you can replace the fuse. It is a solder in type on the main pcboard. Sometimes the half watt resistor in series will be cooked as well. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
