How do I add more inventory in restaurant pro express

Just need to increase the the inventory when I receive more product. If I got to the item screen the quantity is grey. So where and how do I add additional stock?

In the OPTIONS screen, click ADMINISTRATIVE, then INVENTORY MAINTENANCE. After looking up the item you wish to change, click the INSTANT PO button in the lower right corner. Enter a description such as "INV ADJ" and hit ENTER. Enter amount of adjustment, not amount in stock. If you need to deduct, enter amount of deduction followed by the minus sign (-) then ENTER. Your IN STOCK amount should update immediately.

pretty easy, just clock them in as normal, then go to timeclock management in the manager menu and edit the times in that field (they don't look like they are editable, but they are).
make sure to check that the displayed date-range is appropriate!

Go to the INVENTORY MAINTENANCE screen in MANAGER. After looking up the item you wish to change, click the INSTANT PO button in the lower right corner. Enter a description such as "INV ADJ" and hit ENTER. Enter amount of adjustment, not amount in stock. If you need to deduct, enter amount of deduction followed by the minus sign (-) then ENTER. Your IN STOCK amount should update immediately. If you are changing many items, memorize the description using CTL-C and paste it in using CTL-V.

You could program a key at bottom with the ON SCREEN KEYBOARD function using the TOUCH SCREEN SETUP. This will let you manually type in the item number or bar code number. One thing to note, if you do not use bar code numbers as your item numbers, you can still make this work. On your inventory screen, click on the green check box beside ALTERNATE SKU. Then type or scan the bar code and ENTER and SAVE. You now have both an item # and bar code # that will reference your items.

On the main login screen, click FILE in upper left corner, click DATABASE MAINTENANCE, then CLEAR DATABASE. Pick the first option, CLEAR TRANSACTIONS. This will clear all the old invoices, but if there are any customers or employee records, they will need to be cleared by someone familiar with SQL. I'm available if needed.

Can you retrieve deleted items


Hi Alice,
yes you can if you know the item id. go into inventory and click add new item. choose type needed. put the item id in and any description and save. it should come back and say that number is in use and ask if you want to restore it. say yes. it should be back.
if you don't know the item id, it can be restore thru sql commands, but not for a novice.

Does it send to kitchen at all? When you hit resend, are items listed set to go to kitchen in inventory setup? If they are, you may need to reload/repair RPE.

How could i set up mi shop/crogery store with pc america ? the items


You add items on the INVENTORY MAINTENANCE screen or if you have an existing list or database, you can import it into PCAmerica's database. You may need professional help with this, but if you have a large inventory, it would be well worth the cost.

How do I remove an item from happy hour on restaurant pro express


Go to OPTIONS, select SETUP, then TOUCH SCREEN CONFIGURATION. Assuming you have a different schedule for HAPPY HOUR, select that schedule on the right side of screen. Then click on ITEM & DEPARTMENT button. On the left, HIGHLIGHT the department your item is in. On the right, HIGHLIGHT the item you want to remove from your HAPPY HOUR menu. Near the bottom on the right side, uncheck box DISPLAY ITEM ON TOUCH SCREEN. Click SAVE AND EXIT. This should remove item from HAPPY HOUR menu, but not any other menu. Item will still be listed in inventory. You can re add it by just checking the box again.

How can i write a note to my kitchen?


Create a new inventory item in the NONE department with no price and set it to prompt for description and add the kitchen printer to it under printers. On your touch screen configuration, set one of the bottom buttons to a fixed item and make it the new item you just created. Now you can touch one button and send a note to kitchen with any order. You are limited to 30 characters/spaces but just hit button again for second line. After sending to kitchen, you can recall and delete lines if necessary.

How do I send notes to my kitchen printer


You first need to create a new inventory item.
1. Create a standard item in the INVENTORY Maintenance.
2. Call it NOTES and put it in the NONE department.
3. Uncheck all boxes under OPTIONAL INFO, the OPTIONS tab.
4. Click the ADDITIONAL INFO tab, uncheck all boxes but PROMPT DESCRIPTION.
5. Under PRINTERS, add the kitchen printer.
6. Save the inventory item.
7. Go to SETUP, TOUCH SCREEN CONFIGURATION.
8. Click on one of the 16 buttons in middle of page, an unused one. It should turn green.
9. On bottom half of page, set it to a FIXED ITEM.
10. Set caption to KITCHEN NOTES.
11. Check box to display button.
12. Picture can be left blank.
13. In ENTER ITEM NUMBER, type NOTES, the new item you created.
14. Click SAVE AND EXIT.
15. Log out of RPE. When you log back in, you should have a KITCHEN NOTES button. You have a limit of 30 characters. However you can hit button as often as you like to continue your message to kitchen. This should not print on customer's receipt.

How do i change prices in restaurant pro express?


under manager, choose administrative, then inventory maintenance. This puts you where you set item pricing. You then need to locate the item. 3 ways to do this. Use the NEXT or PREVIUOS buttons to scroll thru entire inventory. Or if you know the item number, type it in the search box and hit ENTER. Or click the LOOKUP button and search for item on this screen and then hit SELECT.

you might mean modifiers, that's what i'd usually set up. there are choice items too though but i think modifiers are most useful for restaurants.
