Question about Jet 10" Xacta Saw Left Tilting Arbor Tablesaw 708661
The shaft is keyed to the hand wheel and even with extreme force applied to the hand wheel the shaft will not turn. I have used compressed air and a vacuum to remove excess sawdust from the trunion and rack and pinion assembly but to no avail. Are there other other possible causes to the shaft/ gear assembly being frozen? ( lock screw etc... )
First guess would be a lock bolt is tightened down. Second guess would be a 90 degree latch or stop. Take a look at this link from "mikestools": http://www.mikestools.com/download/Jet-Owners-manuals/Jet%20Tablesaws/708661.pdf.

SOURCE: I was ripping some 2x4s
How freely does the motor turn without the blade on it??? Also what does that blade look like, are the teeth worn or broken? As for the motor usually there are vent holes in it and I would just try and use compressed air to clean as best asa possible. If the motor does not spin freely it could be dirt or possibly bearings. Let me know
