Question about Poulan Pro 25CC 2Cycle Gas Blower

1 Answer

Won't Start My Poulan Pro won't start. So I empty all the gas thinking it might be old and a silver cylinder fell out with the gas. It looks like it should be attached to one of the lines in the tank. Is this my problem?

The silver cylinder that fell out was the fuel filter. Fashion a thin coat hanger into a small hook and try to fish out the plstic tubing. This is your fuel line. If there is enough to get it just out of the tank, cut the broken end off and press back onto a new fuel filter. You should be able purchase one at hardware store such as Home Depot or Lowes. If the hose is broken too far down inside the tank, you will need to take it to a small engine repair shop. Hope this was helpful

SOURCE: have poulan pro gas blower,it is geting fire but

spray carb cleaner in the carb with throttle at full then hold the throttle wide open for three pulls, if it doeasn't start remove air cleaner and put a finger over the carb hole and have an assistant or yourself pull the cord this may clear out the debree blocking the flow of gas otherwise the carb must be removed cleaned and the vacuum diaphram replaced.

SOURCE: poulan pro blower wont crank

Maybe time for somek maintenance. Pull the carb and take the cover off the end without the hole in the cover. Careful with the gaseket and diaghram (which may also need replacing). Look under the diaghram for a small hole about 1/4" diameter. There will be a very fine mesh screen in there. Make sure it is clean and spray the holes you see with a non-flammable brake cleaner. Most carb cleaners and such are TOO harsh and do more harm than good with these carbs. Look around because that area is where fuel goes to the other side of the carb to be metered and sent to the engine.

SOURCE: Poulan model: PPB430VS leaf blower. Won't start.

I think that those are suppose to be caps over the screw to discourage inadvertant tinkering with it. That way it is a deliberate act to get to them, if it is what I think it is.

Poulan pro bvm200vs

Take off the muffler and you should see the piston and ring..with a small pick push at ring to see if it moves. If no movement, you have carbon buildup from too much oil in fuel. Remove cylinder and carefully try to free the ring.

Poulan 446t Will start, won't continue to

The diaphragm in the carb is likely ruined from the gas gelling onto it. This will put pinholes in it and then it won't work properly. Pick up a carb kit and rebuild it (if parts available) and then you should be good to go. If you can't rebuild the carb, a replacement will run you 30 bucks or more.

My poulan pro leafblower won't start, feels like there's no compression

Check that the spark plug is snug. If that is not it, then you should check the tightness of the head bolts. Sometimes they loosen. After that it could be a blown head gasket or a stuck valve.
