My computerscreen is new, and it tells me no signal

Did you connect it with a lead to the computer, a VGA lead or a DVI lead? There are likely to be two ports (connectors) on the computer, perhaps one for a slot in video card and one that is 'on-board video' as part of the motherboard.

There is no signal, because there is no data coming from the computer to the monitor.

My laptop doesn't have a HDMI port so I have to connect with two cables...I think ones VGA and the other is audio. This goes into the back of my old smaller tv...which is ok but I'd like to route the

Your TV doesn't have video output on either HDMI or Composite video. (There are a few TVs that do have a video out but often that is only available for some input/output combinations. You would need to check the manual but the PC input is usually not available for the video output.)

You could get a VGA to composite or component video converter and direct the signal to your new TV from your PC. One example of the first converter is here: http://www.cablestogo.com/product/29548 . An example of the VGA to component video is here: https://sewelldirect.com/audio-authority-vga-to-component-pc-to-hdtv-converter.asp . There are other models available. A few VGA to HDMI converters also exist. However, since those need to convert an analog output to digital, they are more expensive.

I hope this helps.

(A few VGA to composite cables exist. They will not work for your purpose. They are designed to connect projectors with RCA ports and understand the VGA RGB signal to a computer.)

If the monitor does the same thing or similar on another computer its the monitor or vga lead at fault
Check first, the security of the connections from the computer to the monitor, these need to be tight to avoid loose connections and therefore signal loss, id these are ok, check the condition of the vga cable, look for splits cracks and bent pins on the end of the lead, check also the socket condition of the monitor, if any pins on the lead are damaged, discard and replace the lead

If the monitor signal is ok on another computer, check the graphics card / connection to graphics port on the computer, could be this is faulty.

Now check the monitor by resetting to factory settings and pressing the degauss button, check also that there are no magnetic devices like speakers near the monitor.

After those checks it still occurs, the monitor is failing and will need replaced

Acer AspireOne D250 tv/out capability?

This probably will not work. The rca jacks are for a RGB monitor.

If you want to use a monitor, you can. Get a proper VGA cable and remember the drivers will need to ge updated, probably.

Can't get monitor to connect

There are a few things to look at. It is very obvious that the screen is in good condition since you can see the message on it. Now the problem lies with either the RAM and/or the VGA. If you are using an onboard VGA, try a PCI VGA card. Try to resit the RAM modules also. If you have more than one mem chip, then do it one after another. It might be one them is fault and hence blocks the signal to video. Finally, any newly installed card should be temporarily removed ok. With these, I am sure the problem will be over. Good luck
