Question about JBL Audio Players & Recorders
Hey Mnel, I have exactly the same issue. Im also a product designer and I can garantee that it is a design default as the injection molded part is very thin over due to the flex needed to put around your head. I believe the product has a default. Can you let me know if your 2nd model is working fine?

I have broken 2, and not by mistake (they were only a few month old, not much use and i treated them very well), but, as i confirmed later by researching the feedback on the product, the plastic or the design is apparently just flawed. i see that is not your case, but jbl is repairing mine free of charge.
i tried to fix it, and if i was successful with the first set as the crack was in the rotation part (like yours if i understand correctly) , the 2nd was impossible as it was 2/3 in the armband where pressure is applied to the ears.

Where is the headset broken? If it is in the band that goes across your head, I suggest you try glue or tie it securely with string, or just buy a new one. You could buy a used one easily on line. Hope that helps.
