is it notifieing you that there is a lens eror? or does it just not turn on?
This type of problem you won't be able to fix yourself, and don't try to either!
You will need to contact Kodak and tell them there is a lens eror (don't give details that you shouldn't be giving), hopefully they will be willing to fix it for you or replace with refurb.
I don't know how long you had this problem nor when it started. I don't know that it is a poblem, and I don't know if it can be fixed. Too many variables: the camera, the USB plugs, the USB cable, the software, the possible interference, and so on.
Have you tried to upload the pictures and videos using a card reader?
you don`t have to take it to the dealer for this work.just find a shop that has a good reputation for electrical work and have them repair it.you don`t say if the tech checked the fuses as this dash is controlled by electrics.I would not suggest your husband try to ix it as in the end it could cost you far more to have it repaired properly.no offense to your husband, as electrical work is not easy if you don`t understand wiring.
