Yes , also check to see how old your printer is first.

If it is new the Vista drivers may work, I say this because there is Vista 32 bit and 64 bit, compatibility issues.

If you are using XP, and the printer is old, you maybe in luck. Your original CD will work just install it and use the menu on your computer to scan the image.

If your printer is old and you have Vista, your software may not work.
You eventually will need to buy a newer fax machine with the latest drivers.

Don't forget, Windows 7 is going to be out soon. Most computers will be sold with Windows 7 loaded in them. Check to see if one of the system requirements on the new fax can use Windows 7 software.
