Question about storz SMR Apex 2000 Exam Chair
Chair operates with controls but will not hold when placed in upright position when someone sits on it
This should be visually diagnosed to get an accurate identification of the issue. That said, I would look to the tilt motor having broken teeth on the sprocket or a broken drive gear. Also the drive chain may be loose enough to allow it to slip on the sprocket. In most cases, the issue is with the tilt motor mechanism. Removing it will determine if an adjustment is all that you need or if it needs replacement.
