did you set up your fax to detect distinctive ring? if not, thats the problem. you can do that through your menu button on control panel. procedure is in manual.

Does not send faxes


Nope, it's just a big telephone answering machine that prints.

Check the phone line with a regular phone.

Listen for a dial-tone.

You need to set the machine to receive faxes manually. In my instruction book it's on page 14.
