How do I flash bios?

flashing BIOS is very manufacturer and machine model specific. Go to the manufacturers website - support and download section. there will be BIOS specific to your machine and instructions to download and install it. DO NOT get the bios from any source but the manufacturers website.
Good luck

P.S. a botched BIOS update will 'brick' your computer

Need specifications for motherboard MB.N6702.001

Hi,

Unfortunately motherboards made specifically for named manufacturers like HP, e-machines and so forth are supplied without and end-user documentation.

The best thing to do is to look up the model number of the computer (not the motherboard) and see what processors are compatible.

How to update bios on acer aspire 4752?????

go to the acer web site, they'll have the bios and the instructions.
follow them precisely as this is a good way to screw up your laptop. but if you do it correctly, it's not terribly hard and has real benefits.

use the support link or download link, find either bios or your model and then the other.

I wouldn't suggest using any beta bios as they sometimes need to have bugs worked out first.

if you do decide to update the bios

Connect a USB flash drive to the USB port on your Acer. Send all of your files and folders to the flash drive for backup purposes.

Take out your flash drive and reboot your machine. Continue to press "F2" on your computer until your BIOS screen comes up. Check the version of BIOS that your laptop contains, write it down and then reboot your machine.

Go to the Web page for Acer support (see Resources). Click on "Drivers and Downloads" and then "Netbooks."

Click "Aspire One" and click the link for the type of Aspire One computer you own. You can locate this data in the documentation that comes with your Acer.

Click "BIOS." Find the latest BIOS version from the download list.

Click on your "Download" link. Right-click this item and then select the "Extract Here" option. When it finishes the extraction process, double-click on your "WinPhlash" file.

Click your mouse on "Browse." Go to your BIOS upgrade folder and click on the file that ends in .wph. Click your mouse on the "Open" option.

Click on "Flash BIOS." Reboot your machine and then push "F2" repeatedly to start your BIOS.

Push the "F9" key and then "Enter." Reboot your Acer to finish the process

be very careful any mishap can totally screw up your computer and make it unuseable
hope this helps

How to update my phoenix bios

Hello,

First you will have to go to the manufacture's web site for the update program.

The firmware update (BIOS update) will be located in the same location as the driver downloads for your machine.

When you get to the site look for 'Support' and then 'Drivers and Downloads'. When you get to the page for your machine if there is a BIOS update available it will be located there. There may be more than one so look for the most recent.

Either your machine has a utility built in for upgrading your BIOS or else a program will be included with the download.

Instructions will vary with machines. Follow the instructions CAREFULLY! You must do this correctly or your machine may fail. In particular the upgrade process must not be INTERRUPTED!
This will be made clear in the instructions. The whole process only takes a few minutes though.

Hope this helps.
