Question about Televison & Video
In order to be able to watch movies from your phone you will have to plug the usb port your cell phone. Then you will have to plug it into your tv part which should be on the front or it could be on the back it depends on what kind of TV you have. You cannot plug your cellphone into the DVD player it is not a possible way. The only way is to plug the phone into your cellphone and then to the TV :),

SOURCE: set up to play dvd movie on TV
You just need an RCA cable. Find the output from your dvd and connect to the input of your tv. The cable has three connectors in three colors...red/white/yellow. Res and white is audio and yellow is the video.

SOURCE: dont know what to do
Probably not much help. but the 1st thing I would do is check to see if the disc is even turning...put it in with label straight up, then when it fails, eject...odds are severely against the disc being oriented the same way if it spins, so if it hasn't moved, the main drive motor is bound up or dead. Either way, return it.

I can't say 100% but it sounds similar to the problem I had with the same model . The sleep mode in the on/off switch had gone bad and a new switch fixed the problem. It was about $42 to rtepair at my local electronics repair shop. Hope this helps.

I've seen this happen many times do several brands of dvd player.
The one questions if where do you have your dvd player ? In an entertainment cabinet ? On top of another piece of electronic equipment perhaps ?
The reason I am asking these questions is that I believe your dvd player is overheating. Typically that will cause it to stop working properly. You need to make sure it is getting better ventilation be it outside of a cabinet or making sure it isn't sitting on anything generating more heat.
If this isn't the case then please post back and let me know. The more information you can provide the better I can help solve your problem. Thank you for choosing Fixya!
