SOURCE: My defy kitchenaire 621 stove got wet ,nw if I put it on it trips my power supply. What do I do ?

Let it dry out thoroughly and see what happens, If you have a portable heater throw that in there for a few hours to completely dry unit out. Cross your fingers and see what happens.

Pssst - water and electricity do not mix well.

Defy 731 multifunction oven stopped working

switch as probably burt out so that the connecors inside dont touch anymore, or your supply fuses for the stove have blown, check your fuse box. but at any rate if there are sparks i would replace stove or get in a qualifed person the check your stove.

3 plates stopped working and the 4th one does not switch off.

unplug the unit and gain access to the wiring connection for all 4 elements(plates). remove the wiring from the element that will not shut off. while making sure none of the unconnected wires do not touch any metal or another wire, and plug in power cord. if the 3 non-working elements get hot then replace the none working control knob

My Defy 621 electrical stove oven won't heat up

There's probably a faulty connection somewhere. I had that happen a while back when I was in Dyer, IN. I looked for anything that was out of place, but I'm not as smart as I thought I was and had to hire someone (http://www.dbhappliance.com). My advice: call someone. Sorry if that wasn't much help.

My Defy 621 stove causes the earth leakage to trip after a few minutes when the oven is swithed on. The thermostat was resently replaced. Could it be one of the elements, although it seems they are...

Most likely an element. When the heating wire expands inside the tube it contacts earth and kicks out the earth leakage. Select 'grill' and try the oven. If it does not trip out the lower element is the culprit. Replacement is easy for a reasonably adept handyman - just make sure that the mains are off!
