Did you check and see if you were getting power to the starter solenoid when key turned to start ? Is the click coming from the starter or a relay under the hood? If you have access to a multimeter check the voltage at the starter during "crank"

My 2003 Denali won't start I turn the key and just get a fast clicking noise good battery new starter and all power works

Where's the clicking noise coming from ? Under the dash , under the hood in the engine compartment ? Do starter circuit voltage drop test ! When the key is in start position is there constant B+ voltage at the 10 amp crank fuse in the under hood fuse box ? This is an input to the PCM - engine computer to energize the starter relay ! Starter Voltage Drop The battery is good , starter is new ,what about the cables ? watch this video on testing starter circuit !

What can be the problem when I turn the key to start my yukon and the engine does not turn over but one click sound occurs at the starter location and then nothing?

Make sure your engine is not seized up. If the engine cannot rotate, neither will the starter. Next step is to determine that the car can control the starter. Easiest way to do this is to jump the battery and solenoid wires at the starter, in the car, while it is in park or neutral, with the ignition on. If the starter can be made to manually start the vehicle, the problem is in the control circuit. If not, either the new starter is no good or you still have power cabling or battery issues.

Is there a possibility that the engine is seized?
How long has it been since it was running?
What happened immediately before this problem occurred?

try and turn engine by hand to make it is not seized .if ok it may have a bad electoral connection either from battery to starter or from battery to engine earth, voltage drop can be checked with a volt meter.

does the security light come on? You might have to sit there with the key in the "ON" position for 10-15 minutes until the security light goes off to reset the security system.

MY 2001 GMC YUKON XL WILL NOT START OR TURN OVER. I REPLACE A NEW STARTER AND BATTERY, WHAT ELSE NEED TO BE DONE. ITS SEEMS LIKE ITS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

A mechanic would check for voltage at the starter, the neutral safety switch, and the key switch. Then check the battery cables and ground connections.

My 2007 GMC Yukon will not start in cold weather. When I turn the key over the lights/dash controls come on, but the engine does not turn over at all. Nothing. Put a new battery in and still does it. It is a random occurance. Would not start for two days this week so I had it towed to the dealership and the next morning it starts without the service dept doing anything??? Bring it home and two days later it does it again??? Any ideas?

My battery acts dead when ever i try to start the vehicle. the battery is new and the starter is new. once it starts it trys to stall out. i've had to jump start it recently and now it starts right away...

Your description is not very clear--do you mean that the starter does not turn the engine over at times or that the engine turns over but does not "catch"? Or, does nothing happen at all when you turn the key?

In any case, it sounds as though you have a loose or damaged cable or a corroded connection at the battery or a ground.

I have a 97 Yukon with the following problem...I have power when I turn the key on, but when I turn it to crank the engine, the radio, heater etc. stop and nothing happens. I recently replaced the starter...

Make sure that the starter solenoid is being activated and getting power to the starter. All battery connections and starter motor connection must be squeaky clean since any resistance in a 12 volt system may have a serious impact on power flow to device. Ignore the radio, heater etc during startup - the car is designed to turn them off when you turn the key to start so all power goes to the starter motor only.
