Question about HP Officejet 4110 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I would think that this is a fault with the sensor in the scanner, or it's connections. (I'm assuning printing works fine).

It is a hardware promblem it seems to me that your Printed Buffer device have gone dead ... or there is can be the problem to your USB cable.. check them both ...
