Maybe you need a (phone) network receiver in your computer to receive the mobile network signals directly from cricket, either a card or a USB 'dongle'. I don't know why your Galaxy won't tether.

This model is only sold in India which Microsoft no longer supports XP in. If you look up your motherboard manufacturer/chipset, google to see what generic drivers or what hp/compaq model it is used in that supports XP then download those drivers as "download only" and you will be able to use XP. You may also have to disable AHCI in the BIOS if that is an option. Let me know if you need further assistance. Steve Medley
