Question about Jura Capresso Impressa F9 Espresso Machine

Both spouts seem clogged

First I noticed a slower drip from the right spout. Then it stopped completely. Now the left spout has quit except for a small drip, but then it won't quit a steady stream of water from it, even when the machine is off. Most of the water is coming down into the tray. Can I fix this?

I have a Jura Impressa F7 that had the exact same issue. To solve it was pretty simple. Try and make a cup of coffee, and while the machine is trying to pump the coffee thru the spouts, grab the chrome handle on the spout and vigerously move it up and down rapidly. You should notice small grounds of coffee dislodge and follow the stream of coffee into your cup. If you do this a couple of times, you will be able to clear the trapped grounds within the spout. Hope it works for you as well as it worked for me.

Spent an hour trying to clean the machine through it's automatic programs, no luck. Spent twenty seconds banging out the spout, works like new.

If you remove the front spout assembly there is a very fine screen located just above the spout outlets. These screens and spouts can become plugged. This should be removed and cleaned. If this does not help there may be other issues related to low water pressure. This is usually indicated by weak coffee and excessive water in the tray though.

Nespresso U coffee does not come through the spout

There are two nozzles in front of the machine attached together, the nose of the bigger one on the top slides into the smaller one on the bottom. When it makes coffee, the spout outside the machine becomes lower so coffee can come out. When it is done making coffee, the spout goes up so water/coffee drips in the drip tray. If one of the nozzles breaks, the spout on the smaller one will not go down and the inside end is lower and coffee goes inside the drip tray. It has nothing to do with cleaning.

How do you actually remove the spout on a Jura E8 to clean clog?

GENTLY GENTLY GENTLY

There are two parts: You will see the top part is fixed - it does not move. Remove it first, placing fingers behind the top of the piece, and gently it toward you. It will pop loose toward you - but not off. To remove completely, simple move the top half straight up, and it will release completely.

The bottom part of the spout is trickier, but equally easy once you know how it is fastened. Exam the bottom half. See how it is fastened by sliding on rails. Facing this piece, gently push leftward on the right side of the spout. The spout is flexible, and it will bow outward enough that the right side will come off its rail, enabling you to gently pull that side out. The left side will then come off as well.

Now you can clean out all the nasty.

Reverse these steps to put it back together.

As the coffee is dispensed, it is normal to have some residue left in the tubing and spouts. It is the reason that the machine will require cleaning on a regular basis using the Jura tablets that dissolves the coffee film. In the case the spouts get clogged, the best approach would be to dismantle the spout assembly. Since it may not always be possible, I found that filling a cup with a coffee cleaning solution such as Puly Cleaner (pulycleaner.co.uk) and having the spout dip in the solution overnight can help. Probably that dissolving a Jura cleaning tablet in a cup of warm water would provide similar cleaning power.
Dismantling the spout is rather straightforward. You start with removing the front logo by rotating it counter-clockwise. Behind it you will find a T15 Torx screw. Removing it will allow removal of spout cover by pulling the top part lightly towards you and then sliding it down below the spouts. Grab the spouts by the sides and wiggle downwards until it comes loose. You can now clean the spouts but will most likely need to soak it. I have a Delta Tub/Spout Pull Down Diverter that has a pretty persistent drip. The HOT and COLD handles are turned off and seem to be as tight as they can be. After doing some research online I believe...

If your Delta RP17453 Pull-Down Diverter Tub Spout stops dripping after 5 minutes, your ok. If it never stops dripping, you need to replace delta faucet cartridge(s) behind the handle(s). This is were the water turns on and off and stops the water flow to the tub spout.

Delta faucets are some of the easiest to repair, and parts are usually available at any hardware store or home center. If you have a two handle faucet, replace both delta seats and springs and stems. If you have a single handle Delta faucet, replace the entire cartridge.

Jura Impresso E9 not dripping through spouts but into drip tray

This is most likely due to a bad o'ring. The bar you speak of...Does the unit have a small spout pointing upward from the area?...with a groove? Is the o'ring in that groove damaged or missing? When the grounds are compressed in the piston, the brew unit lowers down onto this spout and seals on it. The high pressure water then is injected upward inot the brew unit. When this seal fails the water simply leaks into the tray when there are grounds providing backpressure. When rinsing and no backpressure some of the water may be getting through. Make sure you lube up any seals with a food grade lube. Olive oil will work in a pinch.
