well i just figured out this solution. if you have made three attempts and locked up your XDVD700 stereo, all you have to do is unplug your battery for 5 or more minutes to reset the lock. then you will see the uncreen keypad asking for password again. :D

Screen will not fully open.? Stops halfway and stays out facing down?

The factory code is either 012345, or 1234.
