Its either your brushes on the motor that are worn out or pump blocked or defective

Washing machine fills with water but then won't wash, spin or drain

Hi Claire if your beko washing machine wont drain or has a spin problem then you have to check the carbon brushes first.

Also check all waste pipes are clear and inspect the pump I have included this video below.

At our website I am doing self diagnostic videos on these beko's as we speak so all tutorials will be in this link below
How to replace Beko Washing Machine Motor Carbon Brushes
you might find this test video helpful but only do it if you have checked the motor

Indesit iwe8123 not spinning

Its an old belief that the motor is at fault when a machine doesnt spin on full speed.
Most of the time its because its not emptying properly. Firstly check the filter for any blockages and if thats clear unplug the machine and tilt it over so you can see the pump. If your not sure which is the pump then follow the drain pipe in from the back and what that connects to is the pump. You will have to remove the pipes from that and make sure they are clear and also the pump if possible. If thats all good then it may be a carbon brush problem in your motor thats at fault. That is an easy job even for a novice. If you get no joy with the pump then let me know and i'll talk you through that too.

Water does not empty all out on normal loads have to run quick rinse and spin to try and empty.

Check the filter, located behind the access door on the front lower left of the washer. If clear, replace pump motor. (did you know that you can turn the washer on and NOT select a cycle, but just touch the spin speed button, then start to get a 12 minute or so spin and pump only cycle, with no water fill?)

Hotpoint WD61 - I have taken back off, emptied blocked filter but having reasssembled the water does not drain and therefore does not spin. If I empty water via a bucket from drain hose the machine does...

hello, is sound like the pump not energizing the pump needs testing with a multimeter. fill it up again then empty it you should hear the pump kick in also check the hoses make sure there not kinked good luck

Washing machine wont spin

the 1st thing to check on this would be the drive belt most machines have an easy access point at the rear of the machine if you open this you will clearly be able to see the belt comming from the motor to the drum if it is loose or damaged this would stop the machine from spinning..

Always remember to disconnect the power before opening any apliance & a qualified enginer should be considered however this simple check could save you a call out charge & a costly repair bill

Hope this helps

WMA54 won't empty water? We've emptied filter but

Could be the pump, but they do not often fail.
I would check the main hose or the pump itself for a blockage.
Try blowing down the hose to see if it is clear.

Zanussi ZWF1437W E23

E23 indicates Drain pump faulty; Wiring faulty; PCB faulty.

The service information also says it should stop with the door open.

Unplug the appliance and manually remove the water via the filter or front drain point if it's fitted.

Drain it into a shallow dish, tighten the filter when you need to stop the water (or plug the hose if draining via a hose) while you empty the container.

Once empty, try the door again.

Take the filter out and clean out any debris in it.

Plug the appliance in and put the machine on a drain programe.

Listen/look at the open filter to check that the drain pump is running.

Washing machine not filling with water not washing but will empty and will spin

like the anchor idea?, no sorry, this does sound like the water is not getting to the machine, so, when you turn the machine on does it make a slight buzzing noise, if so the fault is no water in the pipes to the machine (from the house), if no buzzing check the solenoids with a multimeter for open circuit (removing the 2 wires first) oh and the plug obviously / replace solenoid if needed, i am sure this will cure your problem, if so rate me please, thank you
