yes you can order a new switch. once you have it just pay close attention to how the old switch was installed and install it the same way. be sure to have your machine unplugged while you do this repair.
If your machine is turning easily the following applies. This is a carbon pile foot control (Not Electronic) and when in use for an extended period of time(like doing embroidery,piecing quilts) the foot controller will get hot. There's nothing you can do about this except wear shoes. If your machine is not turning freely, then if needs to be seen by a technician to find out why. sewman7
You machine has a screw that fits the end of the shaft and the head pof the screw has broken. You can buy a new screw from a sewing machine dealer but if the whole assembly has come off you may need to take it to a dealer to have it reassembled properly. There is a spring inside which is very difficult to install. sewman7
