I need to know how to thread a PFAFF syncromatic 1200

Unfortunately, documentation is not available for the Pfaff Synchromatic 1200. Pfaff does have the manuals for the Syncrhromatic 1209 and 1215. The threading pattern probably didn't change much between the 1200 and these other machines. Look at page 7 of the Synchromatic 1209 here, http://www.pfaff.com/SiteMedia/PFAFF/Products/Machines/Support-manuals/Synchromatic_1209-manual-EN.PDF , to see if this helps. Unlike most sewing machines, the 1209 doesn't thread the upper thread from right to left. Instead, you bring the thread from the spool to a slot on the top left. Then work down to the guide, up to the take up lever, and down through the next guide as you move the thread to the right to the needle.

I hope this helps. The other available Pfaff manuals can be found here: http://www.pfaff.com/en-US/Support-and-Updates/Support .

Does anyone know where I can find a PFAFF 1197 sewing machine manual? I am looking for the original book that is about 50 pages or more, not the compact edition that comes with the 1199 /1209 models.

Hello, Tamara -

If you have a PayPal account you can pay for and download the manual (50 pages, I believe - at least way more than 15 pages) here:
http://www.sewingonline.co.uk/instructions/pfaff1197/

Cost: 4.95 Great Britain Pound (Pound Sterling) = about $6.97 US

The document is in PDF format, so you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader software (free) installed on your computer. After downloading, be sure to save the document to your documents folder using a file name you can remember easily -- something like: Pfaff 1197 Sewing Machine. :)

Best wishes.

Tiptronic 1209 stitch looping intermittantly

A stitch irregularity is often caused by a tiny burr on the needle. Try this: Unthread the machine, put in a fresh needle, and rethread.

yes you can order a new switch. once you have it just pay close attention to how the old switch was installed and install it the same way. be sure to have your machine unplugged while you do this repair.

My PFAFF 1222 SE has a broken switch. I don't

I have many parts available for the Pfaff 1222 as well as many other Pfaff models.

I will also have power switches available for the Pfaff 1222 as well as other Pfaff models, and sold as a kit that you can install on your own with step by step instructions. The original power switch has been discontinued from the manufacturer of the power switch.

We have been in business since 1973, and we specialize in the Pfaff machines as well as stocking many parts for the various Pfaff machines - as well as other brands.

We service and sell NEW & USED & REBUILT Home sewing machines & related equipment as well as Industrial sewing machines, and we have a vast supply of PARTS and ACCESSORIES in stock.

I also have a Full Synthetic Sewing Machine Oil that I developed about 12 years ago with the assistance of two long time engineer friends - as I didn't like any of the oils that were readily available for sewing machines.

My pfaff synchromatic 1209 machine--the stop motion know keeps falling off. I have reassembled it but it will not wind a bobbin and only sews for a little while. Does it have a spring in there? I was...

You machine has a screw that fits the end of the shaft and the head pof the screw has broken. You can buy a new screw from a sewing machine dealer but if the whole assembly has come off you may need to take it to a dealer to have it reassembled properly. There is a spring inside which is very difficult to install.
