Question about Intuit Computers & Internet
Tried opening quickbooks and got error Exception E OLEsys error what to do
Posted by Anonymous on
This may be indicative that the system has been hit by a virus. Run a good anti-virus program like malwarebytes., then reinstall the software. If it still fails, you may have registry damage that extends to the OLE library files and a full reimage of windows may be needed.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Step one is run scandisk. If you have a cross linked or corrupted file it will sort that out automactically. Step 2 is to google "where is the quickbooks repair feature".....odds are someone has used it before. Step 3.....save your Quickbooks database (in at least two places) and delete and reinstall Quickbooks if all else fails.

SOURCE: went to open Quickbooks pro
Update your Quickbooks, run reboot.bat, restart your computer and then restart Quickbooks

1. Do you have a backup of your quickbooks from before this started happening? If yes, try opening the backed up quickbooks file.
2. Uninstall Quickbooks 2009 completely, then reinstall it and check of updates and install all of them, then try it again.
If the problem persists, please let me know so I can continue to help you. These are the first two things to try and would be the easiest solution.
Thanks for using the FixYa forums!
