There are two additional screws underneath the :rubber feet" on each end.

HP KB-0316 Keyboard get hanged after few minutes.

you might have to uninstall your keyboard restart your computer then reinstall it

try blowing out all of the dust from your keyboard using a fine air blower from an air compressor making VERY sure there is no MOISTURE in the lines.

dust causes static which causes lots of problems with a computer and its parts

click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll to keyboards you might see a yellow exclamation or question mark or red x you will need to update driver right click to update driver

make sure the usb device is inserted correctly into the usb port (if applicable)

if your computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it

hope this helps

I am trying to connect a HP kb-0316 keyboard via an usb connector to my laptop but cannot get it to work

Hi

it may be worth leaving the usb keyboard connected and go to

start
control panel
device manager
go to the top of that box and the last one or two boxes on top right there should be a box
if you hover your mouse over them one of them should say scan for hardware changes
windows may find it then

if not leave in and restart the laptop and hopefully windows will find it then

Trouble reassembling KB 9808

Well, it turned out to be the user interface that messed up! When I put it back together the rubber mat slipped off center so that the keys got not bounce. I reset it and put it back together and all is well.
Thanks.

Partial keyboard doesn't work.

Try blowing on it with canned air or a hair dryer. Other than that keyboards are cheap and easy to replace. Good luck!

YOU MAY HAVE TO BUY A NEW KEYBOARD.

Compaq Presario 1247 PC Notebook Keyboard Replacement

I don't think any screws come out of that laptop to get the keyboard out. Look at the very top edge of the keyboard for some release tabs, they are small, to release the keyboard.

Keyboard laptop removal for acer 2420

I took it apart b4, and took them apart roughly (the notebook is now not with me) as follows:

1. Wiggle or pop out or take out the cover plate, i.e. the cover with power switch and lights
2. You will see 2 or 3 screws, unscrew them and then wiggle the keyboard out (pull the KB towards the screen direction).
3. Be very careful with the ribbon behind the keyboard .

The most diffiuclt part was to re-assemble the ribbon back to the motherboard. Its very easy and took about 10 minutes to replace the KB. Thats about it.

Dismantle of Aspire 3610

A good first step is to remove the keyboard, as there are usually a few hidden screws underneath it that will go unnoticed most of the time. Remove all the panels from the bottom, along with any other screws, and then you may need a small flathead screwdriver to go around the edges and pry the top half off the bottom half, as there are usually some sort of clips to hold it together.
