I have net book hence no disc drive can i download driver

All netbooks have storage of some kind, either solid state drive or internal hard drive. Plus they have USB ports on which external USB storage can be put. Download the driver from your manufacturer and note the exact place the driver is being stored at, when you choose 'Save As' in the browser prompt when you download the file. If you have run out of storage space on your netbook, you can add USB storage, or SD-card storage if you have that option on your netbook. (This presumes a Windows or Linux operating system). If you have an Android netbook, you may not be able to add 'drivers' for hardware the Android operating system does not recognize.

If you are running Win7 plug the USB drive in and wait for it to be recognized. Go to control panel, select Administrative Tools then Computer Management. Select Disc Management and you should find it there. Clear the partition and make a New Simple Partition. Then format it for use.

What type of hard drive do i purchase for my toshiba satellite A135-S4656? when i start up my laptop it says replace the hard drive. But I'm not sure what model to replace it with? Can you help me out? ...

160GB SATA 2.5 inch. You can go larger (320-500GB).

You do realize that after replacing the hard drive, all of your data and windows operating system will be on the old disk.

I need to upgrade my internal hard drive, what exactly do I need to get the most storage for my Toshiba Notebook Satellite A135-S4666? I would like to have 500gb or more of storage.

There are two kinds of hard drives and you must learn which one your computer has. To do this, Turn the computer off, diconnect the power chord and remove the battery. Locate and remove your present hard drive.

If the connection end of the drive has two plastic covered connection locations, you have a SATA drive.

If the connection end has more than 40 pins, you have an IDE drive. There is no way you can confuse the two types.

Go to your favourite computer parts source (ebay, web store or real store) and buy the largest drive that they have and that you can afford. Install the drive and install your favourite Operating System.

The largest IDE drive is 320 GB and the largest SATA drives I've seen are 500 GB. Best of good computing with your new drive.

Upgrading to a 500GB hard drive.

Hello gadgeteer109....The AOD150 comes with a 160gb sata drive, so this should be a plug n play upgrade. Make sure the new drive is a notebook drive and not a desktop. You will need to install the operating system on the new drive... If you want, you can clone the original drive to the new drive before you swap them. You can download free cloning/backup software..Acronis has a free trial offer thats easy to use.You.will also need a 2.5 SATA drive enclosure, to hold the new drive while you clone the internal one to it before transfer to your computer, (these are cheap) and guess what... you can slap your old drive in it and have even MORE external storage! What a deal huh? The only tool you will need is a small phillips screwdriver.
If you want to give the lilttle acer some rocket fuel while you have it opened up...swap out the 1GB of RAM for 2GB... A stick of Crucial 2GB 667 Mhz #CT25664AC667 DDR2 200-Pin SODIMM...will be another great plug n play upgrade for less than 25 buxs.
Hope this answers your questions and will fixya up...please take a minute to rate my response.

did you configure the 160GB hard drive as second???
there is a shorting pin between the ribbem cable and the power cable.
take a look on the hard drive, there should have adiagram shows where the shorting pin need to go to make it as secondary drive.
install the hard drive as secondary drive.
if you want the drive to be the primary. you nee to install the operating system on it.
with out operating system the machine will boot up in to DOS only, and a error message telling you the drive has no loader.
