Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Blank desktop

I think I would take it to your local computer repair shop, it could be alot of things like hard drive, corrupted system files and such. Without looking at it its hard to tell. But, a computer repair shop should be able to fix it

Why can't I log into alisa bingo? I get a blank page

Clear your browser cache, that will delete the cookies that have your login information. This should automatically sever any logged in connections with all servers.

My safari program on my labtop will not stay up

Hello Heather, thank you for contacting Fixya.com for your Apple product support question, I am Terry, Sr. Mac Support Specialist glad to be of service.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue with your Safari web browser:

• From your desktop, click anywhere on a blank space on your desktop. Now you should see Finder listed near the Apple menu icon.

• From the Finder menu, click on Go, then Home from the drop-down menu. This will take you to your Home folder.

• Locate and open the Library folder

• Within Library folder look for the Preferences folder and open it.

• Locate and remove to the Trash, these files:
com.apple.Safari.plist

Once you have removed these files, then click the back button on your open Finder window. This will return you to the Library view.

• Locate and Trash the folder entitled Caches

Once you have done that, close all windows, click on the Apple menu icon located in the upper left corner of your screen and select Logout <username>, so you can log out of your user account.

*Once you are logged out, simply log back in. This actions will restore all the files and folders you just trashed, with new copies of each of them.

*Now attempt access Safari and see if it launches normally.

Please let me know if this procedure helps.

Thank you.

Regards,

Terry ("Mactechtrainer")

When I went to log on today there were no desktop icons and no start menu.

If your mouse works:
Right Click on the blank Screen
You get a pop up menu
look for View Desktop Icons
Place a tick mark for it.
Now you should get your icons back
Hope this will work for you.

The laptop loads up, lets me sign in, then goes blank, no icons

Try booting to the safe mode (F8 at boot) and see if you can log in via the safe mode. If you can't, try booting to your Windows CD, go to recovery console and run CHKDSK /R
If you still can't log in, try running diags see if the hard drive lists a failure.
if no hardware failure found, there and none of those solutions work, then re-installing windows will likely be the final resolution

Windows loads then screen goes blank

Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete then when task manager comes up, look under processes, if "explorer.exe" is running end the task.

Next, go to File>run and run "explorer.exe". This should bring up your desktop and icons.
