Corona wire problem

Hi, you can clean the corona wire easy, just follow those steps:
1) Turn of printer power and unplug all cord including phone cord.
2) Make sure the scanner is closed, then lift open the top cover by its handle.
3) Remove both the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly for the color desired to be replaced.
4) With the drum unit removed, push down the GREEN lock lever to remove the toner cartridge.
5) Slide the GREEN tab left to right several times to clean the unit's primary corona wire.
6) Before installing new toner cartridge, shake it from side to side to distribute toner.
7) Remove protective cover from cartridge.
8) Insert cartridge into drum unit until it snaps in place.
9) Ensure that you are inserting the correct color toner cartridge into its proper place and then slide the drum unit into the printer.
10) Close the top of the machine and then reconnect all cords; turn on power to ensure proper installation.

I have Ricoh Afisio Copier and I have error code SC301

That mean that you have problem with the charge corona, i'm not sure for which model do you talk about but it should be when you open the front door it has one black wheel, under the wheel has a black oblong(the corona) from which come out a wire which is connected near, so when you will locate that part(the corona) you will see that the part is attached to metal plate with one bolt under, so unscrew the bolt and pull the corona towards you but carefully and straight to not damage the drum when you will pull out the corona you will see that inside has two or one string wire, see do the wire is broken if is broken it will need to be replaced, if the wire is not broken you will see do the part(corona is dirty if it is , clean it up with clean cloth or if you have on hand put some pure alcohol 96% on the clothe and clean it up after that insert the part(corona) inside. you can't make mistake on the path where you need to return it has a rails on both sides if you do not set the corona on the rails it will do not enter, do not use to much force if do not want to enter try again. after you will place in it place don't forget to attach the connect the wire and screw the bolt. When you will do this turn the machine on again and see do will the SC 301 disappear, if do not disappear you will need to call service because some part need to be replaced.
Please rate the post if was helpful for you for i to know does this was helpful or not for to know to post some more information

Copies are black and where is this corona wire? I

Your cartridge has two sections, the drum and the toner section. The corona wire is on the drum section. There should be a blue tab on the top left hand side of your drum unit. Slide this tab across the cartridge one or two times, returning the tab to its original position. There should be an arrow on the blue tab that will match up with an arrow on the drum unit when the tab is in its resting position. Performing this action cleans the corona wire inside the cartridge. If this doesn't fix it you may need to purchase a new drum unit.

Corona wire AND MORE SPAM 1-800-975-0148

I was getting the clean the corona wire problem message even after repeated cleanings.  Before this problem occured the toner light was flashing warning of low toner. When I got the clean the wire pop up the toner light was on all the time indicating the toner was depleated.  So, I thought I would try replacing the toner cartridge and see what happened. I opened the new toner box and noticed on the foil packege specific instructions to clean the corona wire when installing the new toner.  I installed the new toner and cleaned the wire one more time. I then reinstalled the drum and toner assembly into the printer and the clean the corona wire message did not come up again.  The printer now works fine.
