I have always been able to burn audio files with out a problem.
Lately It seem as though the files written to the CD seem to deteriorate or something like that. The files twords the end of the CD wont work after like 2or 3 time through it
my next problem is I was trying to bun a Audio CD I aquired. They play fine on my PC. I went to burn them and I got two error messages from Roxio : (E80041395 IDispatch error #4501) and: (E80070057 the parameter is incorrect)

That code seems to be used in a number of MS software products. The closest I can find is "Duncan McAlynn Microsoft System Center Compiler returned error 0x8007042c Error Code: -2147217406 (IDispatch error #3586)"

My older CD player accepted WAV files when I burned them as Audio CDs. (I was able to add CD-Text, even though my player can't read the text. The disc I added space between the tracks though didn't work properly.)
Then do a mastered burn (disc at once) and finalize the disc. I used CD Burner XP for burning the latest batch and Audacity to create the WAV files. I've also use Roxio Creator and Nero in the past.
I hope this helps.
Cindy Wells (I'll admit there's one issue - I can't get the disc to stop between tracks. I was copying audio tapes to CD before more of my tapes broke.)
Have you tried any other software for burning files??
I use a couple of free programs.
IMGBURN very good, can burn data and image files, but cant make an audio disc from mp3 files
CDBurnerXP this can do everything
If you are still having problems after using these programs, try write the error code down and we can take it from there
You can always choose to play via WMP though. You can open My Computer and right click on the cd and select Play With or Open With and select WMP. The thing is, does it play on other cd players besides the comptuer's?
DVD combo do not burn DVD's they can only read DVD read CD and burn CD to burn on a dvd you need a dvd writer. A DVD combo is a combination of just a DVD ROM and a CD-RW.
with some models (even of LG) you only get one drive DVD/CD-RW but in dome version it shows as two different drives DVD and CD-RW. consider this as partioning of a drive if its to be analogued to HDD (though its not partioning its just diffrent PROMS)
Hope you understand that there is nothing wrong with your combo its just that you are expecting it to be a DVD-RAM which it is not.
Are you using windows to burn it or some kind of burning software. i use NERO but Roxio will work to, depends on what you like.
If the files are audio files it will show you how many minutes you have left as you add files, but if there data files, it will probably tell you how much space is left. When i say Windows as the burner, i mean the drag and drop feature windows uses where it says " Files to be written" or " Burn these files to CD".
Windows just burns file as they are with no converting, you need a burning program that will convert the files and set them up to be played like a cd in a car or stereo.
Try searching the internet for that model. and look for a firmware upgrade. Download it and intall carefully folling the instructions that came with the download. If this does not work start looking for your reciept.
