Cause This behavior can occur if the signal from the video adapter exceeds the scan range of the new monitor. The settings that you have for you tower needs to be changed if you have a old monitor connect that to the tower then right click on your screen go to settings and set it real low once this is done connect the new monitor up and set where you would like it,
