Question about Pioneer AVIC-N2 Car DVD Player
Im trying to figure out how exactly to get my subwoofer and amp to work with the pioneer avic n3 i had a previous stereo in the truck and the only difference was i had to switch the remote wire but there is no power going to the amp now does anyone have an idea of what is wrong
Should be plug n play. Sub out on the unit to the amp and remote turn on from the unit to the amp. If it's not turning on, check the amps remote fuse. Did you replace the previous unit or was it stolen? if stolen, your amp could have been shorted. Just a guess.. If you've got a meter, check the voltage at the amp with the radio "on" at the trigger, should be between 12.2 and 13.8. Also, check the main power for the amp, it runs to the vehicle battery and should be fused as well at the battery and at the amp. Then check your ground, it should be to the floor, not a seat bolt or rear/side/ wall, the factory welds inhibit the amp from grounding correctly, even if it worked before, the amp will run much cooler and more efficiently if grounded to the floor. Just look underneath before drilling a hole! fuel lines and electrical harnesses run in the channels, just be careful. If you still have a problem, post a comment and I can help you some more.
