SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: Turntable

Remove the glass table and watch the drive spindle to see if it is turning when the unit runs; just put a cup of water so the magnetron is not without load, they can be damaged otherwise.
If it doesn't turn, gently try to turn the spindle with your fingers.  If it turns manually, then the motor has failed. If it doesn't, then some foodstuff has managed to freeze the spindle.
In the latter case, pull the plug from the wall, use some foaming cleanser (it's less wet) and try to get some under or around the spindle. Let it soak overnight, then try to turn the spindle with your fingers again.  If it's now free, mop up and remove as much of the remaining cleanser as you can, leaving the table out, put a cup of water or preferably a bowl with more volume, in the unit, let it run for some minutes to try to dry the rest of the cleanser out.
Put the table back in to see if it will now turn.
If this doesn't work, it will be necessary to replace the motor.  Since this is a unit I don't know, I can't predict if it is a DIY project or not and the dealer may ask an unrealistic price for the replacement.

SOURCE: Broken Bottom Latch Pawl GE Advantium 120 Microwave

You have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screws you need to remove.

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's done.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

SOURCE: GE Profile Advantium 120 Oven not working; less than year old!!

No need to scan now...

We got the service manual for this model and have uploaded it to our site here to help you.

You will need the
free Acrobat Reader to view or print it in case you don't have it.

I'm suspecting the keypad or a door switch or switch mount issue.

Also, you can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

SOURCE: The door handle on my GE Profile ADvantium 120 Microwave is broke

You may consider using epoxy to "glue" the handle back into place. The epoxy will be stronger than the handle itself. If you do this get the one minute epoxy

How to replace door switch on advantium

Happened to my 2005 Advantium120 twice, both times after extended cooking/simmering on the cooktop (17" below). Solution was to leave unplugged for a good 48 hours (to dry out?) then plug in again and all is good. GE says to either raise the microwave 4" or stop boiling pasta on the stove, neither a good solution. Good luck!

How to change nightlight bulb on ge advantium 120 oven

Advantium - Interior Light Operation While Microwaving

The Advantium 240 oven interior (cavity) light will illuminate anytime the door is open. However, due to the dark tint on the oven door, there is not a light on while cooking since the food would not be visible using the interior lamp.
Food may be viewed during a microwave cycle by pressing the Microwave/Oven Light pad.

One of the Upper Level Speedcook lamps will come on for 5 seconds. The Microwave/Oven Light pad can be pressed up to 5 times during a microwave cooking cycle. The limit of 5 times is to prevent excessive heat on microwave cookware from the Speedcook lamp.

The Advantium 120 oven cavity is illuminated anytime the door is opened and while the unit is in the microwave only mode. As a result it will not have the Microwave/Oven Light pad.

I have a GE profile advantium 120 . The panel lights up I do not get an error code the timer works but it does not heat up. what could cause this

Check your power setting, making sure that you are cooking at 100%. Adjust if necessary.
It could also be a bad magnetron.
