SOURCE: Energy consumption of 1.5T LG intelloair split A/C

your energy consumption will be the exact same the capacitior does nothing to alter your systems operation. a capacitior is a voltage absorbing unit that provides ample power for a mechanical device when it starts. the only way to lower your energy consumption from the largest appliance in your home is to buy a more efficent one with a high SEER or EER rating.

I'm going to buy a new motherboard...... i found two interesting motherboards Msi x79 Bigbang xpower2 and msi z97x gaming 5 wich one is better and wich cpu should i take i7 4930k or i7 4790k !!!

I'm a MSI guy myself. I would go with the Z97. As for the processors, I would save the extra $150 to $200 and get the 4790k. Plenty of power, and you save some money on it. Use the left overs to purchase a good set of ram. Intel Core i7 4930K vs 4790K

Does using dimmers increase power consumption?

No, I don't know from where you got the idea. Dimmers are actually used to reduce power consumption and thereby being energy efficient. Dimmers actually take advantage of the AC current flowing to it and will rapidly switch on and off the current. This happens so fast that you won't recognize power being on and off. This way dimmer switches save power. But to get the real benefit of a dimmer you must change from incandescent lights to CFL. You can actually expect to save about 25-40% of the energy normally used if you dim the bulb to 50% brightness.

Our refigerator is not cooling .

Hello Laura,
If you look at the rear wall inside the freezer compartment down low and find a bunch of frost on that wall, you have an automatic defrost system failure. The most likely part that has failed is the defrost thermostat. It is located on the top of the freezer coil, clipped onto a piece of tubing. It will have 2 wires coming out of it and it is about the diameter of a quarter and about 3/4" tall. To test this part you would need a test meter and enough skill to check if the contacts are closed when the thermostat is frozen withing the specifications stated on the thermostat. I believe yours would close at 25 degrees F and opens at 47 degrees F. Part # 5303918214
I hope this helps you. supertechks
