Question about Canon PIXMA MP160 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Posted by Anonymous on
I have been repairing Canon inkjet printers for over 20 years. The manufacturers do not make money on the printer. They make it on the ink. No that's not correct. I should have said "they make it on their dye". That's is what is in the genuine cartridge. Your refilled ones are filled with ink which is often watered down to get it to come out of a syringe. It will splash about and ruin your printer. If you print a photo it will look awful and probably be fuzzy. If you shop around you can find the genuine cartridges at just a little more than refills.

Because these a refills inks the Chip things they are full so you must
replace the cartridge with a new Canon one and the fault will go. If not just replace the chip with a new one!
Then your error u150 will go.

My solution is not to take the word of cack-handed amateurs like the one who suggested the eraser technique - this is just Canon holding us to ransom by making us buy their overpriced consumables. I would rather there were no fancy electronic monitoring systems - give me the good old days when there was no (expensive, ironically adding to the sky high cost) technique other than to know your print was fading.

dont you hate that when that happend. this is why i do not use refilled carts. The issue here is the ink system has failed because of the refilled cart. the chip that reads the cartridge (printhead) is bad and needs to be replaced. I got a link on a tip for you about refilled stuff I hope you do take it to heart.
Read the artical in there you be so glad you did. Refilled inks ruin printheads!!! and this is what happend to your printer. please read and please do rate the tip and leave feedback for this free help today.
