Panasonic PT-56LCX66 buzzing noise when i push power

I'm going to take a guess and say that the buzzing noise and burning smell was either a transformer or a blown capacitor (more likely). It's likely that your old lamp was still good and there is a problem at the circuit level.

If you or someone you know is comfortable with electronics, you may want to open it up and take a look. If there is a blown capacitor it will be obvious. Take a look at or Youtube for help on identifying them.

If you don't feel comfortable working on the inside of a TV it's probably time to get a new one. Repairs will not be cheap and they won't be worth it.

Most likely the problem is in the high voltage section if you are hearing a buzzing noise. There is not much you can do. This is a dangerous circuit to work with. Have a repair shop check it for you. Thanks

In this case there are two possibilities of what part is the one causing the issue, it coul be a ballast because of the clicking sound that caused the tv to shut off, and that buzzin sound is for your color wheel that it might not be working anymore, discountdashmerchantdotcom free troubleshoot

Your TV requires ballast power supply board that gives you buzzing noise when TV turns ON.
Ballast supply board is available in Part Store and replacement of that board requires expertise.

Buzzing is usually indicating the color wheel is defective. Or it could also be the lamp fan malfunctioning as well. My quess would be the color wheel as thats a fast moving part which is prone for bearing failure.

Toshiba 46HM95 Buzzing

I have the same thing, mine is the cooling fan for the lamp. If the sound continues for a short time after you turn off the TV then this is the most likely cause as the cooling fan will continue to run for a short time to cool off the bulb. I have looked into replacing mine, the part runs around $50 but I can't say yet how easy it is to replace yet.
